LGU Bislig City Scholarship Grants

The present administration through the leadership of Mayor Florencio C. Garay is always committed to ensure that education continues amidst COVID-19 pandemic. Education has always been on top of the city government's priorities and one of the programs it has maintained for years is the LGU Scholarship Grants to deserving Bisliganons.

This year 2021, a total of 349 scholars coming from 17 different schools situated in Bislig City received their school allowance through cash payout last April 19-21, 2021. An amount of four thousand pesos (4,000.00 php) each scholar was distributed to 278 Junior High School Students and 239 Senior High School Students.

The LGU Scholars of Bislig City went through a thorough selection process to properly determine deserving applicants. With that, an applicant must be a resident of Bislig City (at least 3 years) and qualifies in Poverty Threshold (based on Caraga Region requirement).

Furthermore, the disqualification of scholarship grant shall occur if the student failed to comply the requirements such as the following: 1. Passing grades in all subjects 2. Maintenance of good moral character 3. Transferring out of Bislig City and 4. Failure to submit proof of purchases of the above-mentioned school allowance as per information relayed by Mr. Anvic Federizo, In charge of LGU Scholarship Program. The city government of Bislig allocated a budget of three million pesos for this school year 2021 and will hopefully increase its allocation to make room for more qualified students in Bislig City.
