The Bislig City Scholarship Program is provided to indigent Bisliganon families to defray education expenses that may otherwise be spent for other basic necessities of the family. It also addresses gender equality issues on girl-children having the least priority for education in poverty-stricken families.
CATEGORIES OF SCHOLARSHIP
Elementary School Scholarship - Applicable only to Grade I pupils enrolled for the current school year at any DepEd school operating within the city. Amount of scholarship benefit is P2,000.00 per year.
High School Scholarship - Applicable only to incoming Grade 7 students who will enroll at any secondary school operating within the city for the current school year. Amount of scholarship benefit is P4,000.00 per year.
Senior High School Scholarship for Agriculture and Related Tracks - Applicable only to incoming Grade 11 students, who will be taking up Agriculture and related tracks at Bucto National High School, Mabog National High School, Saint Vincent de Paul Diocesan College, and Stand Alone Senior High School. Amount of scholarship benefit is P10,000.00 per year (2 semesters).
College Scholarship - Applicable only to graduates of any secondary school operating within the city, and who are incoming (first time) First Year students who will enroll at any program/course at any private school/college/university operating within the city. Amount of scholarship benefit is P7,000.00 per semester/trimester.
Collegiate Agriculture Scholarship - Applicable only to graduates of Senior High School Scholarship for Agriculture and Related Tracks, who will enroll in Collegiate Agriculture at schools/colleges/universities operating within Caraga Region. Amount of scholarship benefit is P10,000.00 per semester.
Applicant must belong to an indigent Bisliganon family. For this purpose, a Certificate of Indigency issued by the City Social Welfare and Development Office is required.
Applicant’s parent/s must be bonafide resident/s and registered voter/s of the city for, at least, a period of three (3) years. For this purpose, a Barangay Certificate of Residency is required, clearly stating the number of years the parent has been residing on the particular barangay. A Certificate of COMELEC Registration is required to determine the parent’s registration status.
For applicants in High School, Senior High School, and College categories, copy of previous school year’s grades and Certificate of Good Moral Character are required.
For incoming Grade I scholars, copy of assessment/rating in kinder is required.
Duly accomplished application form (with applicant’s photo), together with the supporting documents, shall be submitted to the Scholarship Secretariat.
